Shaun Sakhrani

             Shaun has responsibility for the origination of structured debt capital markets transactions in Southeast Asia for HSBC, based in Singapore. He has led a wide variety of    transactions across a range of asset classes in the region, including residential mortgages, government receivables, commercial mortgages, trade receivables and consumer receivables. In this role, Shaun also works with a number of regulators, issuers and investors to discuss development of the regional securitisation market. 
Key transactions led include :
  • First ever Government Securitisation in Thailand (Dhanarak Asset Development)
  • First ever Islamic residential mortgage-backed securitisation (RMBS) in Asia (Cagamas MBS Berhad, Malaysia)
  • First ever publicly rated consumer receivables securitisation in Asia
  • First ever Islamic commercial mortgage-backed securitisation (CMBS) in Asia
  • Largest ever AAA rated securitisation in Asia (ex Japan)
             Shaun has been with HSBC since 2001, having worked in the London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. Shaun graduated with first class honors from the London School of Economics (BSc Accounting and Finance) and is a CFA Charterholder.
